Key Benefits

  • CRD is a full service design and model shop.  As such, we are able to create virtually every aspect of what we craft for our clients.

  • Whether your project is strictly mechanical or combined technology our engineers can address all aspects of the design, fabrication, testing, installation and documentation.

  • Depending on tolerance and complexity, once a mechanical component is designed we can fabricate it in-house or have it made by one of our closely allied machine shops.

  • CRD maintains a modest plastic molding facility for limited run, one off and unavailable plastic replacement parts.  The process utilizes silicone molds and a variety of castable urethanes.  Some of our casting materials exhibit properties very similar to ABS injected molded thermoplastic.

Capabilities
Our in-house machine shop is intended for basic chassis fabrication,  modest parts machining, repair level machining and molding.

     

Machining

  • Basic DRO manual vertical mill

  • Manual 13 X 40 gap bed lathe

  • Basic drilling, boring, facing and tapping operations

Sheet metal

  • Shears up to 52 inches

  • 6 X 6 notcher

  • 24 in. Finger brake

 

Molding

  • Silicone male/female and mutil-cavity flexible molds.

  • Wide choice of castable urethanes exhibiting diverse characteristics.
